Pup Toys

Pups are just like kids, and just like kids they want toys. Toys are a must for all dogs, but even more so for those curious playful pups. Toys provide entertainment and enjoyment to both the pup and the pup owner. You will enjoy the fact that your pup is playing with their favorite toys and not your shoes or furniture.

It’s a physical need for pups to chew as they are teething. Everything in your house that your pup can reach and get into it’s mouth is fair game. Shoes, clothes, hairbrushes, and even kids toys are all things that your pup will try and sink their teeth into. After all, everything looks great at their age!

Stuffed toys should be avoided! It doesn’t take long for your lil pup to tear that toy apart allowing them to find the stuffing. If you don’t cetch them soon enough, they will ingest the stuffing which is not digestable or nutritious.

Squeaky toys are very popular. When buying squeaky pup toys, take into consideration the size of your pup. You do not want a toy too small that easily could be digested. The little squeaky part inside of the toy is very dangerous if swallowed. You should monitor the condition of all your pups toys closely. If you find a toy chewed to the point of becoming dangerous, then it is time to get rid of that toy. It’s really a good idea to only use these kind of toys for training or monitored purposes, and not for free play.

Natural bones and rawhide are popular pup toys that can also be dangerous for your pup. Bones have a tendency to splinter into dangerously sharp pieces. Rawhides will become soft after your pup has chewed on it for a bit which can easily be swallowed choking your pup. They also make a nice mess on the floor once they get soft.

There is such a variety of pup toys on the market today that look like they would be a lot of fun for your pup…but be careful with your toy selection. A safe bet for free play toys are nylon bones and toys. These pup toys are very durable. You can even find them with many different scents and flavors added to them.

If your wanting to play fetch then there are many balls and flying discs to choose from.Just remember that these kind of toys are for you and your pup to play together with, and not just free toys for your pup to play with.
